Imperial County Sheriff Fred Miramontes Endorses Jeff Gonzalez for State Assembly

El Centro – Today, Imperial County Sheriff Fred Miramontes announced his endorsement of Jeff Gonzalez for State Assembly. Sheriff Miramontes, a veteran of the Brawley PD, joined the California Highway Patrol in 1980, was appointed Undersheriff in 2007, then elected Sheriff of Imperial County in 2023. 

“I’m endorsing Jeff Gonzalez because he’ll put our safety over partisan politics,” said Sheriff Miramontes. “As a U.S. Marine, Jeff kept us safe overseas, and he will work with law enforcement to do the same here in Imperial County.”

“I’m grateful to Sheriff Miramontes and other public safety leaders for endorsing our campaign,” said Jeff Gonzalez. “It’s time to restore law and order, keep dangerous criminals off our streets, and protect victims so all Californians can feel safe.”
